Hugo, The Oscars, And Sad Nostalgia

I recently did my very best to enjoy Hugo.

It shouldn’t have been difficult. Besides a wealth of Oscar attention, the film had strong production talent behind it, a wonderful community of good actors (many recognizable from the Harry Potter series), and an overwhelmingly attractive visual design.

To-Do Dilemma: One Year Later

I’ve had a couple of emails now asking me where I’ve ended up on the subject of task management since my last post. It’s a good question, so here’s my answer…

I’m still using Things. Actually, that’s a misleading way of phrasing it; I should say, I’m back to using Things again. Here’s what happened.

Things vs. Wunderlist

When I discovered Things, I figured I was out of the woods. It’s got an absolutely fantastic interface that makes me want to use the program, it has a project and area system that lets me keep my tasks organized without becoming too bloated (I don’t want a full-scale project management solution), and it’s got an iPad and iPhone app so I can keep up to date with my tasks on the go…sort of.

And this is where the problem emerges.

My First iPad

I recently passed a milestone in my life. I spent ten hours in a shopping mall waiting in line to get a shiny new iPad 2.

Having done so, I have a pretty good feeling that among your first thoughts was “oh, you’re one of those.” Am I right?
